The well has been tested, and the results of the test is that: you probably should not drink the water from any of our faucets.
It looks like there may be some levels of minerals that are a little higher than EPA standards, particularly arsenic (which is commonly found in wells around here), and a few other minerals. Some bacteria was also found, however that may be due to the fact that the sample was taken from an outside spigot (at the covered patio) which was not sterilized when the sample was collected.
Needless to say, that because the levels of some of the minerals were found to be higher than what the EPA recommends, we are not going to worry about doing a re-test to see if the bacteria really is a problem. Instead, we are just going to advise all of our guests to: Please don’t drink the water!
We will also provide a Drinking Water Bottle exchange program at the office where you can exchange your 3 or 5 gallon empty water bottles with full bottles that we have had filled at an alternate filtered source. (See Rates.) Hopefully, that will be sufficient for everyone…
We’ve attached the actual results for you to peruse here: Water_Test_Results_2016.
